Section Leader Roles and Responsibilities A section leader's role is a very difficult one. By definition a good section is:
* The first to arrive and the last to leave * The person who assists with administrative duties and the day to day operation of the guard * The person who ALWAYS communicates with the DIRECTOR before any decision is discussed or DECIDED * The "good guy" who motivates the group when the going gets rough * The "bad guy" who enforces the rules when members forget them. * The Organizer of lists, and duties; NOT EXCLUDING YOURSELF and even GIVING YOURSELF THE MOST DIFFICULT OF THE DUTIES ASSIGNED. * The person who remembers counts and phrases when no one else can and is WILLING TO HELP OTHERS remember in a patient, POSITIVE manner. * The person that assists in the loading and unloading of equipment which includes the FLOOR and various other items. * The person that knows the location of our warm up rooms, performance areas, entrances and exits, etc.., * The person who carries a roster of all members and staff as well as contact information for each member. * The person who carries directions and schedules to all performances and practice sites, as well as extra performance CD's, stretch CD and so forth. Your Section Leader Candidates are (In no particular order): Joseph Allen, Matt Atkinson, Brandon Landry, Jamie Bass, Nicole Cross, Kathy Kyle, Andy Allen, Erin Patton and Tavius Cooper. Please carefully evaluate your choice for this position. We will vote either online in the next few days, OR at rehearsal on Friday Night. |
